Applied Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Exit
CSPL 341G
Spring 2026
Section: 01

Applied Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Exit provides students with a practical, hands-on introduction to the entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on the perspective of a female founder and CEO with experience building and leading a digital health company through to acquisition, students will explore the full venture lifecycle -- from identifying opportunities and shaping ideas, to launching, scaling, and ultimately exiting a business. The course emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving, and resilience while equipping students with real-world tools such as customer discovery, business model design, fundraising, growth strategies, and exit planning. Combining interactive discussions, case studies, and experiential projects, this course offers students both the mindset and skillset not only to build ventures, but also to bring entrepreneurial approaches to established businesses, nonprofits, and beyond.
